Let's see, my profession is being Nissan's bitch for the moment. I'm starting college in the spring for Information Technology. Hopefully I can get an easy networking job in the future.

Long story short I help build the Altima sedan (and the V6 model), Altima Coupe, Maxima, and the Leaf. For example one of my jobs is to build up the subframe for the engine to be mounted onto it. Get subframe -> put in T-links -> put in the 4 bolts and nuts - > get stabilizer bar -> put in 4 bolts -> get the motor mounts -> put in 6 bolts -> get torque rod -> put in 3 bolts -> done I have 45 seconds or less to complete each frame. Once you get good at it the job is really a walk in the park. Until then you'll be struggling a lot. Some of my jobs are kinda hard, some are very easy. After working here I'm definitely going to push myself through college, I don't want to work like this forever. It isn't terrible, but I can tell I'm going to end up with Carpal Tunnel and plenty of other joint problems.

Never had a job, college freshman, studying Electrical Engineering, course IT. I might go for Master/PhD when I finish college (I know it's FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR-fetched, but we'll see).

Currently finishing up my Information Systems Technologies degree...Not really liking it anymore but will see it through to the end... Plans already in place to move into Engineering Design/Drafting once I am done....I turned my back on my visual creative side a while ago for stupid reasons and now craving to return...Don't feel the need to work on IT systems anymore.... I want to design and create things that are tangible...

I work as an adviser/salesman at a golf store right now. My main field of work will be anything to do with aeronautics, primarily air traffic controller, or pilot. I currently have 46 hours logged as a pilot, with 25 bring solo flying. The aircraft i fly is a cessna 172. I have stopped flying due to a heart problems, and i am awaiting an operation date.

I believe it is real wood. The finish however, isn't what I'm used to. I'm used to stain and urethane. This finish.. the color "chips" off with a fingernail Its not paint... you can see the grain. But behaves like paint to some degree It has worn in several spots and needs refinished Any food, water or grease stains it in the worn areas. It is a nice REDDISH wood I wish to keep it that way Sanding would be tough, as it has many machine carved detailing would chemical stripper help... or sandblast with softer media.. hum

Isn't much surface to belt sand, but I would likely block-sand. (Did you see the picture I added afterwards) What are your thoughts on chemical stripper? I'm not sure if its urethaned, shellac or lacquer. Or paint. =S
