The last tune in that vid brings back memories...
Really nice memories...
I was about 12 and we were driving to Spain for our vacation, windows wide open, 35 degrees celcius outside, super loud music and just driving away ... I met my ex there and a year and a half later we were soulmates haha, she lives (well... lived) only 8 miles from me, been with her for 4/5 years
In spain we had an amazing 3 weeks, evenings were spent in the events area with bars, nice lighting and the pools in the background, stage with music and performances, so many kids around, I could write a book with the memories of those weeks easily hahaha.
I have a lot of emotions with music and specific melody's/tunes/tracks, but this is one of the strongest ones

Sick video, and sick music in it. You must have had a kick ass time
Yeah it was definitely a memorable night. That's the first event I've gone to twice now and I must say I haven't been let down. The perfect birthday rave.

Hearstyle or hardstyle?
If hardstyle, then I must say I can handle it in small doses. This last weekend at the rave, the hardstyle stage and crowd was weird. Just seemed like a bunch of acid heads just tripping out to the bass. I dunno. Showtek is really all I can handle and I've seen him twice now.

So my friends and I are putting our music knowledge together and starting up a legit DJ business.
We're in the planning stages right now, but we have the financial backing and desire to do what we want.
I found this tune recently. A great remix.
DJ Curve? Actually doesn't sound bad .
Was thinking DJ View. The reason for this being View/variations of View have been my WoW name for as long as I've played. I figure that if I kept that same name for 2 years now, that it's worth using.

.curve hows the DJ carrier going? Did you and your friend get started? If so, what type of equipment have you bought? I've been ghosting this thread for a while, enjoying many songs, been FOUCKING jealous of all the shows posted, and curiosity killed the cat, I wana know more of this project!

Honestly we're still in the planning process. We don't want to put the large amounts of money into it until we know exactly what we want/need and what we can wait to purchase.
Currently we are buying a Hercules RMX with Virtual DJ Pro from a friend of mine for $220. I've used this console before, and I love the Virtual DJ Pro interface so I'll be messing with it a lot, putting out tons of trance/house and maybe even dubstep mixes.
What we've decided we need to purchase are speakers, a drum pad, a microphone, and a good set of headphones. Those are the basics of what we need. Currently we're all researching the different brands and types of each so we all have a better understand not only of how the hardware works, but how to choose the best stuff for the price range we're looking for.
We're also in the process of obtaining our business license as well as thinking of an official business name. Most importantly to us right now, we're working on our chemistry. We're working to be absolutely comfortable with each other. If we can't be who we are around each other, how are we going to in front of hundreds, possibly thousands of people we don't know.
We're still in the planning stages. The Hercules RMX will be our first big purchase. The single most important thing though is our love for music and our desire to want to make this work so we can spread our love for music with others.
If you guys are really interested in how this goes, I'll try and keep this thread updated with our progress. If enough people start taking an interest in it, I'll probably start up a blog where I can release like...weekly mixes.

I'd say, at least check it out. From my experience, it's so much better then VDJ.
The best way I can explain it is that Virtual DJ is the Linux of DJing programs. You can do so much with it and write so many of your own scripts and stuff with it. With Traktor, the user interface is a little easier to use, but you won't get the customization like with Virtual DJ.
