I find religion important, it adds leadership when sometimes there isn't, then at the same time when leaders have different ideas they clash. I'd explain my reason why I'm atheist but as people said it would cause flaming. We're a specie that needs leadership, if not, we fall apart. If you notice we always try to place a high person(s) somewhere in the picture

I've tried given my opinion before, it just doesn't work here, people can't control themselves sometimes, and it ruins threads like these
it is, but its the internet, people don't have to worry about being ridiculed, and no one can really stop them.
But to be brief and to the point
I don't believe God exist because there is no evidence, and once things get explained to you, you begin to put the pieces together yourself, and you can see how everything falls into place. You can't possibly know how everything falls into place BUT you can have a good idea. It makes way more sense and has a lot more evidence that we came from prime-apes than spontaneously appeared out of know from a being that we can't see, hear, smell, touch, or observe in a atomic OR even quantum level. The only "proof" from divine being is from writings, which shouldn't be trusted.
My problem with you atheists is that you look at the Bible has some magical fairy tale, like, book because that's how you've been trained to read/think of it. If you actually took the time to read in-between the lines, with a scientific mindset, you'd be quite surprised has to what you'd find. You call us, believers, ignorant, which is highly hypocritical since you all just dismiss the Bible on the surface level without even looking into it further. Who's really being ignorant here?
Sadly, I never got the chance to finish what I was working on with the whole "Science versus Atheism" thread I made a while back. Things happened. *A girl*. And I didn't get around to getting my professors notes.
I believe in love and harmony, harmony, harmony, yeah. ALWAYS, I WANT TO BE WITH YOU!

You think... atheist are indoctrinated?

>Implying religion has any scientific merit. You meant to type philosophical mindset, amirite? I have taken a deeper look. The central theme of the new testament is love and "the goal is to try, not achieve." Jesus is a hippie.

i think the 11th planet was mention in the bible or quran don't remember! and it was discovered thousands of years ago! and we just found out there is a 11th planet in the 2000's..

You've just proven how indoctrinated you are if that's all you get out of the new testament.

Mh? Our own solar system atm has 9 (recognised) planets, the universe obiously has a REAL LOAD more of planets, about what 11th planet did we gain knowledge in the 2000's?
Apperantly folks in ancient iraq believed the earth was the 11th celestial body to form into a planet? but i dont really see how that's relevant to religion or recent discoveries for that matter?

Many books are more than they seem at the first glance yet there is no religion written aroud them.
And no I don't believe in God. Why? Even though I have tried I haven't found any good reason to do so. It just doesn't work for me.

My problem with you theists is that you think your book and associated stories are the correct teachings and path to an afterlife and/or way to 'knowing' God.
BRB - Being born in a majority Muslim country, Islam is the correct faith. BRB - Being born in a majority Christian country, Christianity is the correct faith. BRB - Being born in a majority Hindu country, Hinduism is the correct faith. Etc.
BTW - I was born to a Christian family who attends church every Sunday. GTFO with that indoctrination crap.
FFFFUUUU I can't stay out of these threads. This will probably be locked anyway.

Indoctrinated by whom? Myself? Do you even know what indoctrination is? My family is Catholic, I went to catholic school, I was raised catholic, and have gone through all their rites except priesthood/marriage. I was indoctrinated into Catholicism (Christianity).
I would later make the conscious decision to disagree with Catholicism (Christianity) on most fronts (i.e., I chose not to believe).
The Sociopolitical views of Jesus Christ can be summed up with one word: Socialism (for the most part). I have read the bible. Several times, actually. I have participated in numerous bible studies, as an Atheist and Catholic. My grasp of Christianity is very solid. It's still philosophy. Do you speak English? Yes? Ok.
Do you know what philosophy is? Yes? Ok. Jesus has ideological views that can be examined philosophically. Do yourself a favor, put down the bible and pick up a dictionary.
In my last study we were reviewing and studying, along with the accompanying bible verses, this book.
I do believe in god, not as an entity that controls our lives, but as a creator, and i wasn't born in any religion, i wasn't taught religion, i just learned by myself

I attended a Catholic School and then a Protestant School later, been with them almost all of learning life, I've done more than just read the Bible. I'm friends my "churchs'"priest still (i say its mine since its the church I attended for a long time when I was still Catholic." I'd do Adoration in Latin, Mass in Latin, English and also Italian. I've read the Bible front to back in two langauges, and I still get the bleak meaning from it. I tried to get the "spiritual" meaning from the Bible, but I knew there wasn't any
