Rather than sending warning letters to you now, ISP's are going to begin terminating peoples connections.
I got a letter from Comcast a couple of years back for downloading Lego Star Wars (hellz yeah I'm hardcore).

what about upload a bugged torrent, unsuspecting torrent users connects to such torrent, a whole of IPs can then be easily recorded for further legal actions [microsoft did a similar approach to knock a whole bunch of pirated xps off the market]
