dom wrote: time/date mod? I'm going back to default theme as well It's only a bunch of basic time/date scripts I made for Geektool. Mostly using Proxima Nova and Helvetica Neue of varying weights for the typefaces. I also added a tiny bit of dropshadow so the text doesn't appear all jaggy, especially the thinner ones.
This is basically what the setup looks like:

Portion in red box are dropshadow settings.
Here's the scripts:
Quote: Time: date +"%I:%M" <- For 24-hour clock, replace the I with H Month: date "+%B" | tr '[a-z]' '[A-Z]' <- Remove bolded portion if you don't want all uppercase Day #: date +%d Day: date "+%A" | tr '[a-z]' '[A-Z]' Year: date +" %Y"

Azilius wrote: Thee_UniQue wrote: Is it true that the more crowded your desktop is the slower the computer becomes, or is that just another rumor? Maybe if your running windows 98 with a Pentium 2...otherwise no. actually....... even in Windows 7 if you have a ton of icons on the desktop, fragmented hard drive, clustered OS, and never been clean. Then yes having a clean desktop will improve performance. Your hard drive is your bottleneck 90% of the time with powerful computers. so if it has to load a billion things it will decrease performance.
