Hey SRF'ers, i just bought myself a new phone last week, Sony Xperia Z.
Spoiler!

My previous phone was an android phone as well, i'm familiar with the OS and with many of it's apps. Since we may not all be and since you guys may be able to give me some good suggestions for awesome apps I've yet to discover, i'm asking you guys for suggestions.

I'll start off by naming a bunch of apps that i enjoy using.
Note that some of these will be Dutch, as i am from the Netherlands.
If the topic gets a lot of traffic i can update the list based on your guys' input. If many of you are Iphone users the topic can be updated to include those too ;)

News:
Nu (dutch)
Telegraaf (dutch)
CNN

Connection utilities:
Skifta (used to connect your device to any uPnP device in your network, such as a smart TV, laptop or PC).
Dropbox (Cloud storage between all of your devices, accessible anywhere)
Youtube remote (allows you to play youtube videos on your smart TV, even when it's not wirelessly connected)

Communication:
Whatsapp (texting using network data instead of sms/mms)
Viber (texting and calling using network data)
Skype (Chatting / video calling over 3-4g/wifi)
Steam (Chatting, gaming news and the possibility to buy pc games while you're on the move)

Games
Hill climb racing (addictive 2d racing game where you race different vehicles on several stages)
Little stars for little wars (2) Easy strategy game to get into where you're aiming to get full map control over one or several computers)
Line runner 2 (Little 2d game where you need to jump over and roll under obstacles)
Dragon, Fly (A jumping game where you need to fly as far as possible with your tiny dragon)

Banking:
Most banks have their own banking app now, use one! (even if you don't want to use it to pay with)
Paypal (Debitcard-like payment possibilities as soon as it's linked to your account, no need to have money in your paypal account to pay [Thanks XMoshe ;)])
Nu (Dutch) (Quickly checking your stock exchange rates)

Information
Wikipedia (Everybody knows wikipedia! but did you know you can search for interesting things nearby you on the mobile version?)
Google goggles / Layar (Both apps show you information about objects in the real world that you view through your camera. Layar does this in argumented reality, while google goggles analyses your picture)
Google translate (For when you forgot the word you were looking for in whatever language you can think of)
Buienradar (Dutch)(Shows where the rain is on a satellite image of the Netherlands)
Reisplanner NS (dutch) (Railway application, showing you delays and allows you to plan your journeys)
Soundhound (Want to know what that song is that you hear playing? Soundhound will let you know)

Random apps
Memedroid (Funny pictures / memes on your phone, what more do you want?)
Snapseed (Basically photoshop, the pocket edition. It doesn't have as much features as photoshop does, but it's the best available for your cellphone or tablet.)
RD-Mute (Allows you to mute your phone when you're being called in several funny ways, like flipping it over [like new versions of HTC Sense])
X-Plore (Windows explorer for your phone, allows you to see, copy, cut and paste the contents of your SD card and phone memory)
