Well some of you may remember a thread where i posted a bunch of pictures i drew a while back. Well anyway i have recently finished drawing my latest picture after a spell of not drawing for a while and it would be really appreciated if someone could offer some comments or criticism or something of the such. I have kept the same drawing style and although physically it may not look flashy or pretty, its full of meaning and symbolism like all art should be.

This makes me think this is what i think.

This *guy* is trying to fit in where he lives and he feels that everywhere that e goes he is being watched. This *guy* is also being controled by his surroiding people/ enviroment which is making him feel like he is being held back. And the shadow of his feeet under the board symbolizes that he is trying to find his other half but is struggling to undertsnad that he has the choice to be himself at any given time..


that is how i see your drawing. IMO you have a nack for this... This picture is Win 10/10 in many ways.

Although thats a very good interpretation that is justified, its not so much what i was trying to push across. I was trying to draw a distinct parallel between what is human and what is not. The marionette is simply being held up by string so it seems, a soulless body with no capability of self dependency. Yet i tried to make the body position, the facial expression and the position of the hand to give the illusion of life in the object, as if to say it could be a person being controlled by the "strings". Or if someone would like to take it a step further, the puppet its self is alive.

I was trying to get it to symbolize the idea of life, what makes us what we are. The human body and process of life are just some mechanical parts working together in harmony. As soon as they are taken away, " or cut " we fall over and die. When body organs are replaceable and artificial intelligence proceeding to the state it is, what makes us human anymore? Our souls? Our memories?

Love everything besides the text (font).
Gives an odd feel, good job.

I wasn't too sure what to do about the font either, it kind of stumped me. In the end i just scrolled randomly and picked what came up.

Any suggestions as to what font it could be changed to? Just off the top of your heads and all.

I love it. You really got your point accross. Only thing would be to make it less MSpaint if you know what I mean, to make it more grafic.
