looks to me as if the focal is too blurry/vague, and the background is oversharpened *_*
on the next try, try to make the focal blend in to the background; a background like this makes it looks a very hectic. you can probably fix it somewhat by sharpening the focal (the doggy), and blurring the background.
try selecting the background, go Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian blur, and play with this tool a bit to make the background somewhat less "in the face". then, select the focal and sharpen it. you can do this with either the sharpen option in Filter -> Sharpen, then whatever sharpen option, or you can select the focal and brush over it with the sharpen tool.
i'd try this with the black n white sig, that one looks most balanced of the three because there are no bright colors taking your eyes away from the focal :]
