Silkroad Fanart [Konata version =3]

Well, this fanart has been made by my friend Cancerbero, he win the Silkroad weekly fanart twice a year. Is just a draw of the D8 armor set female and D9 2h sword using the konata skin. I hope enjoy it:

The first design, looks nice =3

When this step was ready I send to him the screens of D8 armor female, and he start his work. 1 hour ago he do this:

After this he start with the weapon:

But after saw it I tell him the sword must be more bigger than this, and make that:

Now is correct, then is time to make the final design:

And now the base colour:

The shadows:

And finally....
The final result, really great! ^^

nice, but konata needs a bigger head... and the hair looks too flat, when compared to the armor.

He use photoshop and wacom (draw table for PC).
He ignore the other leg's details because he is very lazy XD

Thats pretty good photoshop I'm guessing? Any the head looks flat and also I think if u added a few more shades and tones especially in the hair. it would much much better.Oh yeah the highlights are way too bright. He got the understanding of of science of light but lacking in bluring the highlights and the dark tones. The armor is cool but the highlights don't look right it look like u use the erase tool to show "highlights" on the armor. I apologize if I seem to be a bit of a critic its just that I used to go to school for Game art and Design/programming. Art Institute so when i see art work I look at it for a long time. How many hours did u spend drawing it?

Edit: The anatomy is off too. Head tooo big. That pose looks a bit awkard as well. :banghead:

I will translate it for him and ask what he think. He too study colour science. And in manga the heads of the chars normally are more bigger than the body.

Maybe he will do more, he spent 5 hours for do it.

Meh i mainly do Comic book style Anime too basic for me. But idk depends if he was using 7 head or 5 head so the head is bigger and the body is smaller making it look "cute." The drawing is fine its the just the color. :banghead:

O yeah that not bad for 5 hrs. I ususally spend much more. It depends if its gestures 10-20 secs so i can get the drawing done fast it just the coloring that takes long...

I wish I was that good at coloring? Do you guys use mouse or penboard for coloring ?
