I'd say better then the multiple colors you had going, but its too monochromatic now. Take whatever color effect you used to make the Gundam Render all red off the render itself or maybe better yet could work with it being so red and try to add different colors to the background. But keep in mind Complimentary colors so it doesnt go all crazy like the old attempt. Even play with some Gradient Maps and change around the layer settings for them, see if you can get something more to it. You want similar colors between the render and signature so it blends more then it stands out.
It's a step up for sure and I'm liking the blood red looks. I would definitely try erasing some of your C4d effects off the render, remember c4ds are nice but never to over do them or in some way make then feel fluent to each other =}.
What you can also try to help blend in your BG a little more and add a nice flow is a Radial blur.
-Apply Image -Take your pentool and make a outline around your gundam image. -Right click> Make Selection -Select your marquee tool>Right click> Select inverse -Layer via copy -Filter> Blur> Radial Blur - Set it to zoom change the quality to best and just black with the settings to what ever you prefer.
After that I would play with adding some foreground effects to get away from that "Flat" look and you should fine.
Here's a quick example I did of what you're aiming for if you wanted a preview of what it may look like before you try it. You can take your time to make it look neater.
That piece of scrap I added would be "My" way of adding to the foreground for depth. You can do what ever comes to mind.
On a side note I had a dream about "shocked" looking gundam floating heads. It was pretty scary I almost wet myself.

What would a spider gain from seeing boobies? besides I never said it was dream...a dream would make it a good thing. Unless this is your way of admitting to your kinky feelings for me.....Besides I told you unless you by a strap on it's not gonna work. It's too late anyway I don't have nightmares about you anymore, it's floating gundam heads now. I'm scared magisuns sig doesn't pop into the mix one of these nights.
