I know which one Im picking.
pvp where you depend on yourself or up to 4 others in 5v5 and 1 person can carry the whole team. or raiding where you need 24 other talented ppl to do everything exactly right or else everyone will fail... hmm which one is more of a challenge? Following scripted actions is hard, right? Not really, but 95% of wow players are terrible so it makes it seem like its harder than it is. That big, mean PvE boss isn't trying to counter your every action, he just does what you expect him to do. Every. Single. Time.

Time. my point being even though you know what he will do and when... its a hell of a lot harder to coordinate 25 people and get EVERYONE to come online for a period of up to 3 hours a night sometimes multiple nights a week. getting everyone to know what to do(which doesnt seem hard but... some people are idiots and it takes WORK to get them to do what they are supposed to) and do that raid encounter. for pvp you can get your group of 3 people, pvp whenever the hell you feel like. could be for an hour could be for 10 minutes. you are only trying to deal with 3 people instead of 25. and you keep saying bosses are predictable and humans are not... humans are very predictable. in every single arena match you know that if a rogue comes out they are going to try and sap one of you or garrote the healer. if warrior comes out that door you know what he will do, because belive it or not humans have very predictable thinking patterns. in pvp if someone makes a mistake its ok, because chances are your opponent will make a mistake too.. like using his antimagic shield to early. then its even again. if your in a 25man raid and someone makes a mistake, that raid boss isnt going to make one to even things up. that one mistake made by one of the 25 people who all have a chance of making a mistake, but that one mistake will whip the entire raid and then you have to start over.

Unless you're doing hardmodes, you can lose half your raid and still beat the boss. Yes, you know what people are usually going to do and what to counter with. However, the good players are countering your counter or baiting you into doing something. Human v. Human is a more interesting matchup than Human v. Computer. Every time. Yes, you almost always know what people are going to do to start. Yes, the rogue will try to get a sap off before opening. The question is after the initial cheapshot/kidney combo. Is he going to vanish/reopen? Continue DPSing? Attempt to get a restealth by LOSing? Vanish and reopen on your partner? Now PvE: Omg, the boss did his super ultra-mega move. What's he going to do now? Continue hitting the tank and in 30 seconds do his move again with a nice little countdown by DBM. I'm sorry, but if you don't think PvP is more dynamic than PvE, you need to get your head examined. Im not saying it's not difficult to get 25 people on the play. It is (especially 25 people with an IQ over 60). I'm saying that the actual act of killing the boss/other team is more difficult in PvP than in PvE.

There's prolly an average of 115 glads per BG (since people who get it in 2v2 usually can get it in 3v3 too so that's being generous). 13 US BGs which comes to around 1500 glads in the US. 42 guilds in the US have done Alone in the Darkness (hardest hard mode). Figure 40 people per guild including bench and stuff since you usually have extra raiders. That's nearly 1700. Expand to guilds with 1 light in the darkness. Over 200.

Is PvE more dynamic? Nope. I do find it more fun though. If not everyone does what they are supposed to, oh shi- moments occur and to me, those oh shi- moments, and how people react to and handle them, is what makes PvE more fun.
The PvP I've experienced is either: 1. Group LOS's you for like a minute and you all just sit there with your thumb up your ass 2. Rogue comes out of stealth, saps then proceeds to combo, rinse repeat
I like the pressure of having to follow a specific game plan in order to accomplish the task at hand.
So let me reiterate. I don't think PvP is bad or worse than PvE, I just couldn't get into it. To each his own.

Got the quest achievement in grizzly hills. Levelled engineering a bit. Saw that ebonweave had crappy prices and moonshroud sold (70'ish vs 185) for more thus respecced to mooncloth tailoring.
Mined on the DK Cursed thorium for being a total pain in the arse to lvl up on. What sicko makes 2 lvl ranges on them and then decides to barely put any small vein on the map. Started skinning as well. Got to 75. Plan is lvl up both to 300 and starting lvl'ing up. Plans for this char will be goldhorder for my mage with a lack of decent money making profs.

Hark, what experience do you have to talk about end game PvE and high rated PvP? Unless that's an alt in your sig, you haven't cleared 25m Naxx, Maly, even touched Ulduar, and 1 ToC, and only played 4 games of arena. I'm all for having a discussion on PvE vs PvP, but it just irritates me when people talk about stuff they've only read/heard about, not experienced. Anyway what i've done today.. Got my alt priest to 80, doing the honor grind. Really like the new BG.

Made a warrior, got it full heirloom stuff and enchanted it to the max. Got to around level 13 in an hour then was too tired to go on.. but surprisingly I didn't get bored of it, so I might actually get this to 80, since every other class I played so far I got bored of in ~30 minutes.
Don't see why people say warriors have a lot of downtime.. I had more downtime with a paladin/warlock/hunter.. All I do is charge groups of mobs, thunderclap, rend them all and they're all dead in about 3 seconds.
I seem to be always full on rage too since I avoid using heroic strike (unless its at 100, then I dump it like that)

Human Free PvP trinket Less obnoxious rep farming I'd roll a human alone for the last one because I barely care about PvP. Anyway. I was skinning on my DK. I just got it to 150 and thus needed to go to the trainer. I check out the AH and see there's no spellweave on the AH. Thus I log on my mage and put my piece from 2 days ago on it because the prices in the weekend seem to plummet. I decide to do a strat run. I never been there before, well I did the part up to the key but I wanted to see what the whole baron thing was about. Clear the 3 zigurats without any issues. Magister gave a near death experience. Abominations were a cake. Ramstein, who's ugly btw, was a cakewalk until he decided to stun me and throw me up in the air the moment my ice barrier breaks, evil script or I'm just unlucky?. I manage to kill him and thus I get swarmed by an army of skeletons. I manage to not die with about 300 hp and 400 mana left, mana shield and arcane explosion is one hell expensive combination. The 5 elites afterwards weren't any issue either. Then I face Mr Rivendare. I manage to lock him out the room with my elemental thus I had to dismiss it and face the baron alone. Somehow I screwed up badly, being the first time, I had to invis to survive. I ran away a bit, bandaged, ate some food. I couldn't be arsed waiting for my CD's. Thus I barrier myself and start slinging frostbolts to his sorry face. AE the miniadds, I don't know there function but a bunch of adds are never a good thing. Baron break my barrier but cd was done. I keep frostbolting him to his end. I want to loot him and what do I see. This baby. TL,DR: I did my first strat run up to the baron and got the mount.

It took 140 runs for Rivendare to finally submit his mount to a guildie of mine. And another guy got it in his second run, some people just have the devil's luck.

@tako: I hate you. I ran it a bunch at 70 on my mage with zero luck. Ran it 40 or so times so far on druid with no luck.

Not really something I did in WoW...
So school just started and I'm taking this one ethics class that's mandatory for all seniors. Turns out my professor is writing a dissertation on MMORPGs and he's an avid WoW player. Thought that was pretty cool. Kinda wanted to shout out "For the Horde" but I had my reservations.

Kinda considered yesterday (though some of it was early early this morning), finished Might of DragonBlight. Got to within a day of dailies of Revered with Warsong Offensive and thus the costs of Artisan Riding + cold weather flying being in reach. Now if only this blasted extended maintenance would be over already.

Aren't there like 3 or 4 dire mauls?
It should be DM > dead mines DME > dire maul east DMN > dire maul nord ....

It should be DM > dead mines DME > dire maul east DMN > dire maul nord .... Dire Maul East/West/North is all the same instance still. They're all linked together. So when you say "LF DM group" you're looking for a Dire Maul group, generally starting in the East wing.

ive never been to dire maul... ever. i been to scholomance alot though, rep farming argent dawn. and i did do the pally epic mount quest so ive been to stratholm too. those places are cool. i sometimes think id like the lvl 80 dungeons to be like that. you go to scholomance and theres like 10 bosses, imagine getting 9 dreamshards a run (if your on heroic). but then i like how lvl 80 dungeons are short so idk.
