@Innovacious: Why is gun currently the best?

If they're perfectly equal, go with whicher you like the look of more.

As for why gun is best currently, as far as I recall, the best ranged weapon drop is a gun off Kel'thuzad.

Pretty Much.

Quote:
Hunter
All Hunter pet abilities with a cooldown of 30 seconds or more are no longer on the global cooldown.
New! Arcane Shot: Mana cost lowered to match the cost of Improved Steady Shot.
Aspect of the Wild: This aspect is now raid-wide.
Call of the Wild: The benefit from this pet talent now applies to only the Hunter and their own pet.
Deterrence: Design changed to grant 100% parry and 100% chance to "deflect" spells coming from the front, but prevents the Hunter from attacking. Lasts 5 sec. 60 sec. cooldown.
New! Explosive Shot: Damage increased substantially, and additional scaling added to compensate Survival Hunters for the decrease in power of Improved Steady Shot. No longer deals damage to secondary targets.
Improved Tracking (Survival): This talent has been slightly re-designed. Now reads: While tracking Beasts, Demons, Dragonkin, Elementals, Giants, Humanoids and Undead, all ranged damage done to those types is increased by 1/2/3/4/5%.
Kill Shot: Cooldown reduced to 15 seconds, down from 35 sec.
Kindred Spirits: This talent now grants only 3/6/9/12/15% pet damage.
The coefficient of Rake (Cat) and Scorpid Poison (Scorpid) has been lowered.
Readiness: No longer resets the cooldown on Bestial Wrath.
Steady Shot: Now gains 10% of attack power as damage instead of 20%.
Serpent's Swiftness: This talent now grants only 2/4/6/8/10% bonus attack speed to pet. The hunter attack speed bonus is unchanged.
Tranquilizing Shot has had its cooldown reduced to 6 seconds, down from 15.
Unleashed Fury: This talent now grants only 3/6/9/12/15% pet damage.
Viper Sting: Now drains a percentage of maximum mana.
Volley: The damage has been reduced on all ranks by approximately 30% (including attack power scaling).

doesn't sound like much of a nerf to me. They get new moves and lower cool downs...

same goes for Pallys and DKs, they just got better...

Pet damage got heavily nerfed, and the base modifiers of the hunter's main attack got lowered.

Hunters havnt got any new skills
They nerfed our main attack (steady shot) ALOT.
They reduced the cooldown on kill shot which at the moment we only get to use an average of 2 times per raid boss. Its good but it will only give us more burst damage when we get to the end of a boss, probably wont effect dps much.
Tranquilizing shot has its cooldown lowered, but it dosnt do damage anyway.

The majority of the nerfs are for BM hunters because they currently do way too much damage but the steady shot nerf effects all hunters. We constantly use it because its the most mana efficient and the only damage dealing skill without a cooldown.

Survival hunters are getting a buff because at the moment they do crap damage. They buffed survival and in the PTR it became the best spec although theyve been nerfed again before the patch even went live, lol.

At least im not a BM hunter, not going to be quite so bad for my dps, still not gonna be nice though. I can just imagine patch day, loads of BM huntards who dont read patch notes complaining the game is bugged.

I've kinda looked over all of it and it doesnt look like its going to be too bad. yea some things are being nerf'd but some things still are not even working right. like Glyph of SS isnt stacking with Marked for Death. Over all itll just even hunters out with everyone else.

No way.

cant judge when your level 3, least get 20 though 30 when you get your mount things get more fun but 40+ is where it gets real fun imo

Lol here I am mining to get enough gold for one of those Darkmoon Faire trinkets. :(

By the way the swift mounts we are talking about are the flying ones, takes 5000g to learn and another 200g for the mount.

mining is teh money maker. lvl 56 with 1017g, i'd have more but i had to guy my guild storage and some new gear from the AH since nothing i want ever drops in any instance ever. stacks of truesilver were selling for 120g, bought up all the very undersold stuff and made a killing. Oddly enough gold bars on my server never seem to sell anymore than 1g each which is weird cause silver sells way higher than that, hell i think steel bars outsell that....

i love an actual economy...

Yeah a lot of people buy those ores or bars to powerlevel their Blacksmith. I personally think Thorium sells best, I needed like 500 of them to get through like 25 points in Blacksmith and it was costing me too much to powerlevel since they cost like 3g per piece so I went to mine them myself instead.

High level ores aren't worth as much though, and gets too competitive. So I decided to mine Cobalts at beginning areas of Northrend and make some plates then disenchant them and sell those enchanting materials. Cobalts are really common and easy to mine if you have epic flying mount, and rarely competitive since people don't farm them.

Gold in practice should worth more than Silver but there isn't much use of it in powerleveling Mining and Blacksmith, which is why it's so cheap. You only need like 5 gold ore to get 5 quick points in mining and I don't think I've ever used them in leveling Blacksmith.

I finished yesterday farming for that nobles trinket. Took about 4-5 days of farming herbs constantly. Farmed about 16k G.. sad thing is the in a month or so the trinket will only sell for ~5kg.

Also with the flying mounts, 1kg for your first flying mount, slow, that's mount included. Artistan flying is 5kg training, 200g mount then to fly in northrend it's another 1kg when you're 77.

It's gonna take me a while since I'm kinda busy with school, raiding and BGs. I barely even do any dailies to get my rep with Sons of Hodir anymore. The Nobles deck only cost 8000g over here so I'm guess the economy in my realm isn't that bad.

You'll get the 60% flying skill for free. But will need to pay for the epic flight skill. Which will also cost you 5000G.

Ditched every 7x i have. I don't have the state of mind to level them, they bore me. Which has proves me that the only class I like is actually the mage class.

Allthough i won't continue on my T6 draenei mage, cause i can't stand the wiggling.

I continued on my lvl 18 undead mage @ Al'akir.

I don't have the time t play a lot anyways, so i'll be casually leveling that.

I decided to quit. Not because I'm not enjoying it anymore but I think about wow too much, my school work and other shit are suffering from wow and when you reach that point it's best to uninstall and just quit.

I actually had plans for raids this evening and I have to alert my mom she has to do dinner earlier so I can Farking raid. That's just out of control tbh so I just quit altogether.
This is the first time I'll admit to it I am/was actually addicted to a videogame.

PvP means that outside of your faction territory, you become flagged and the opposite faction can attack you at will. On Normal servers this doesn't happen unless you enter and enemy city.

And to the few above, this is why I can't raid much, and why I'm making my own small start for casual play. (as in, trying to organise a casual raiding guild with levelers too to spice it up)
